Dashboard
The Dashboard is the landing page of a project, opened by clicking a project's name from the Projects page. It offers a centralized view of the project, including an activity feed widget that lists the most recent changes made by your teammates.
Activity feed widget
The activity feed widget displays a snapshot of the most recent activity within the project, ordered newest first. Each entry shows the actor, the action performed, the artifact type and name, and a timestamp. Where available, entries also include further detail on what changed, such as a field-level diff or the ALFA files affected by a policy save.
The activity feed tracks changes across the project, including:
- Attributes and attribute connectors: creation, updates, and deletions, with field-level detail where available.
- Cache profiles: creation, updates, and deletions.
- Project management: project creation and updates, and member added/removed/role changed (for both users and API clients).
- Policy insights templates and reports: creation and updates.
- Policies: creation, updates, and deletions.
- Domains: most changes are logged as creations, using a generic message such as "created a new instance of domain
{name}". Rollbacks are logged as updates recording the actor, domain name, and timestamp. For example, Cameron Falley rolled back domain "Atlas Domain". Read Domain history for details.
Field-level diffs are not shown for every field. For example, updates to an attribute connector's Provided or Key attributes fields appear as a generic update entry, without a before/after diff.
When you save policy files individually, a separate attribute-dictionary.alfa entry may appear in the feed before each policy save. Using Save all logs a single attribute-dictionary.alfa entry instead, since the dictionary snapshot is only saved once per batch.
The widget is read-only, no entry can be edited or deleted, and an appropriate empty state is shown if no activity has been recorded yet.
Click View all on the widget to open the full activity log.
Full activity log
The full activity log page displays the complete history of all project activity, ordered newest first. It is accessible through the View all link on the Dashboard widget or from the side navigation.
Use the following filters to narrow down the log, either individually or in combination:
- Search (Filter...): searches by actor and artifact name. The filter triggers automatically once you enter at least 3 characters.
- Date: filters entries for a specific date.
- Action: for example, Created, Updated, Deleted, or Left project.
- Artifact type (tab): the list updates based on the action type you selected.
You can clear the filters at any time.
Like the widget, the full activity log is read-only: no entry can be edited or deleted, and an appropriate empty state is shown if no activity has been recorded yet.
