Distributed cache
Access Decision Service (ADS) supports distributed caching where attribute values from attribute connectors can be cached and replicated across multiple ADS instances.
Advantages
This feature stores attribute values across a distributed network of ADS instances according to the attribute cache configuration in the domain configuration file. It provides improved performance, reduced workload, and cost savings. More specifically, distributed caching offers:
- Improved performance through attribute value replication.
- Uniform and consistent response times across all nodes.
- Reduced workload on downstream attribute sources like databases and LDAP.
- Cost savings by optimizing resource usage.
- Seamless scaling with cache warming for new nodes.
- Cache preservation during software upgrades.
