Creating authorization domains

The authorization domain configuration file is used to manage the distribution of policies and attribute source configurations (for example, attribute connector and/or cache configurations) to authorization services.

As stated above, ADS supports authorization domain configuration files expressed in two different formats, YAML and XML.

  • The YAML-format file can be produced using any text editor, as long as it follows the content requirements as described below.

  • The XML-format file must be produced using Axiomatics Services Manager (up to and including version 6.2.9). Refer to the Axiomatics Services Manager documentation for the relevant version, for information about creating authorization domains.

note

The formats are mutually exclusive and only one of them can be used at any given time.

See Authorization domain configuration for more information about deploying the format of your choice.

Validation

On start-up, ADS validates the domain configuration file against the requirements and constraints as described for each section. If an error is found, an error message is displayed and ADS will not run.
